The following annual festivals are held in the area.

River Fal Festival

The Fal River Festival, May/June, is all about celebrating life on the river Fal in Cornwall. The 9 day festival encompasses over 130 events which range from music and drama, the arts and heritage to rowing races, triathlons and walks. The festival, which was established in 2006, is a major celebration of the history and life on and about this Cornish river, an opportunity to embrace the locality, its people, history and culture.

Helston Flora Day

Flora Day is held every year on May 8th except when this date falls on a Sunday or Monday when it is held on the preceding Saturday. This celebration is believed to be pre-Christian and at one time during the Victorian era was banned as being "a drunken revelry." The whole town is decorated with local greenery and bluebells which grow in millions in the surrounding countryside. The revelry continues today. http://www.helston-online.co.uk

Padstow Flora Day

Padstow 'Obby 'Oss. The first day of May is 'Obby 'Oss day in Padstow. It celebrates the arrival of Spring and is also probably another ancient fertility festival. There is even more revelry.

Royal Cornwall Show WADEBRIDGE

For three days each year the showground at Wadebridge is transformed into a living town, bustling with life, energy, agriculture, entertainment and trade. It is a significant event on the Cornish calendar and great fun for all the family. The show jumping and the magnificent turnout of the Pony and Trap parade are loved by all.

Falmouth Week

Henri-Lloyd Falmouth Week has developed into the largest regatta in the South West, rivalled only by Cowes Week. It provides a racing schedule to challenge the most competitive sailors, yet retains a 'fun and friendly' feel which also attracts families and the less experienced. The sailing fraternity are probably outnumbered by the social scene and those enjoying family fun.
